| Description | Four photographs of abstract reclining figures in bronze and burnished bronze, similar in style to Henry Moore's abstract nudes. The figures are similar in form and execution, suggesting that they may have been part of a series. Two photographs are annotated on the reverse by Tennant 'Reclining figure (Bronze) 1949' (/1-2). Annotated photographs also include Tennant's name and address. |
| Notes | Tennant exhibited two bronze figures entitled 'Turning Figure' and 'Reclining Figure' at the 1950-51 Arts Council 'Sculpture in the Home' exhibition. It is possible that two of these pieces were included in this exhibition, although it is not noted on the photographs.
This represents an artificial file of photographs gathered together to enable better access to the large volume of sculpture photographs originally located throughout the collection. |
