TitlePhotographs of titled sculptures
Datec.1930s
DescriptionSeven black and white photographs of titled sculpture which did not feature in Tennant's early exhibitions. Four photographs are mounted on card. All of the photographs are annotated by Tennant with the title and material of the piece. Some are also annotated with Tennant's name and address and/or by whom it was sold. The sculptures are figurative pieces, mostly semi-abstract, in a variety of materials, including elm, yewtree, sycamore and terracotta. The pieces represented in the file include 'Singer' (/1). 'Head carved in Elm' (/2), 'Half figure in sycamore' (/3), 'Fragment' (/4) 'Half-figure in yewtree' (/5-6) and 'Moment' (/7).
NotesThe exact dates of the photographs are unknown, but the sculptures share stylistic characteristics with those exhibited by Tennant during the 1930s and have been dated as such.

This represents an artificial file of photographs gathered together to enable better access to the large volume of sculpture photographs originally located throughout the collection.
