| Description | Original proposal for the Metro Billboard Project. Includes a rough pencil and ink sketch of Dye's proposal on paper. The paper is folded in half to create a rudimentary folder containing a set of numbered cards - each originally encased in a plastic pocket - outlining the concept behind the installation [/1-11]. The cards feature photographs of the Haymarket Metro station with photographic mock-ups of the proposed billboards. Each card includes a typescript label with descriptive text by Dye. Also includes poster layouts for each billboard. Accompanied by the following: Dye's working papers for the proposal, including loose contact sheets, negatives and monochrome photographs of the existing advertising hoardings in the Haymarket Metro station [12-26]; mock-ups of the proposed work [27-34]; and the project outline accompanied by a rejection letter [/35-36]. |
