Title | Mock-up of 'The Kiss' |
Date | c.1975-1976 |
Description | Board mounted photographic collage made from two versions of the same image of a male and female about to kiss. A scatter graph entitled 'Hollywood Occupational Structure' has been superimposed over the base layer of the two images. Strips torn diagonally from a second version of the image are layered at various intervals over the base photograph, creating a collage effect. |
Notes | The graph was taken from 'Image and Influence: Studies in the Sociology of Film' by Andrew Tudor (Allen and Unwin, 1974) [p.50]. 'The Kiss' formed part of Dye's solo exhibition at the Robert Self Galleries, London and Newcastle in 1976. |
