TitlePresentation board titled 'Towards Making the Formulation of A Word And the Situation It Refers To Inseparable'
Date[1970]
DescriptionPresentation board featuring four pairs of black and white photographs of a work usually known as 'Here' mounted on white card. A typescript label provides a brief description of the work, defining the work as 'a sculpture for a whole room'. Each pair of photographs represents the formation of a letter from the word 'HERE'. In each instance, a large image shows a mirror with black markings sited below shapes painted on a wall; the accompanying smaller image shows the letter formed in the mirror when the reflected shapes on the wall align with those painted on the mirror. According to the typescript label, the word 'HERE' is formulated only when a spectator is stood in a certain place.
