| Description | Original bundle of unlabelled black and white photographs of the mirrored devices 'Core' (c.1989-1990) and 'Equation' (1989-90) exhibited at Dye's one-man show of installation and sculpture at The Showroom, London in 1990. Includes four photographs of 'Core' [/1-4] and three images of 'Equation' [/5-7]. Reflections of Dye's head and hands are shown in both mirrored devices. Accompanied by three contact sheets with further images of the works [/8-9]; manipulated images of Dye's palm superimposed over his face; and images of Dye's palm [/14-16]. Two images are annotated briefly on the reverse in red ink with Dye's initials and a date [/9-10]. |
| Notes | /1 was used in the exhibition catalogue for Dye's one-man show at The Showroom, London in 1990 and is credited to Alex X Fraser. An image of 'Equation' taken from one of the contact sheets [/9] was used in publicity material for Dye's installation 'The Big O' at the Riverside Studios, London in 1991 and is credited to the same photographer. The images were presumably taken for publicity purposes. |
