Description | Original file of sketches and notes in pencil, ink and [crayon?] held together by a folded piece of A4 paper marked 'Memos for procedure i.e. slides to do etc'. Although the sketches appear disparate, much of the material relates to Dye's experimentation with projection in which he projected images on to black backgrounds - including walls, floors and furniture - and then traced the projected image using white paint. Recurrent themes for the projected/painted images include palm prints, faces and male torsos. The file includes notes related to Dye's experimentation, including a large sheet of [blotting paper] with rough sketches on the recto and a drawing of Rodin's 'The Kiss' on the verso [/51]; and lists of slides to be used in projection [/2-6]. |
