Title	Sketches for 'Pump'

Description	Sampled sketches and notes in black ink originally held in a blue document wallet marked 'Sketches for 'Pump (Invisible Man Show), Goldsmiths Gallery July-Aug 88'. Includes sketches, calculations and notes in varying degrees of detail for 'Pump' (1988) shown at the joint exhibition 'The Invisible Man', Goldsmiths’ Gallery, London, 1988. The majority of sketches incorporate a barbell motif drawn on the reverse of cream 'Cost Sheet' cards. Also includes sketches on the reverse of an architect’s plan for an unidentified theatre and gallery space. Accompanied by a photocopied layout of Goldsmiths' Gallery for 'The Invisible Man' exhibition showing the position of each artist’s work, including 'Pump'.
Notes	'Pump' was also shown at Dye's solo exhibition of installation and sculpture at The Showroom, London in 1990. The volume of drawings has necessitated the sampling of the file.
