| Description | This series comprises an assortment of sketchbooks and notebooks predominantly dated from the early 1970s through to the late 1980s. They contain drawings, sketches and notes related to Dye's installations, experimentation, performances and film works. Not all material is titled and some content remains unidentified. The majority of notebooks also include introspection and self-analysis by Dye, both personally and professionally. This series does not include Dye's collection of notebooks used during his years at St. Martin’s School of Art; these items form part of a separate accession [2008.9]. |
