| Description | Pocket sized black 'Alwych' notebook with notes and sketches by Dye. The notebook includes a small number of rough preparatory sketches similar in style to photographs of Dye’s early sculpture found elsewhere in the collection. The notebook also contains lists of works made between July and October 1966. The first twenty-two pages of the notebook contain handwritten French grammar and vocabulary, possibly indicating attendance at adult education classes. Also includes personal reminders and notes. Approximately one third of the notebook is unused. |
