| Description | Rough draft manuscript on the life and work of Stephen Cripps. The pages are loose and held in a marbled hardback cover with a ‘Foxtrot Films’ label marked, ‘Cripps book’. Includes a handwritten covering note on Stephen Cripps Trust headed notepaper marked, ‘Rough Draft of Book compiled by Trust members in 1986. Acme Archives has copy’. The manuscript comprises numbered pieces of paper with tipped-in photocopied sketches, drawings, photographs, posters and reviews with pencil annotations. Pages have been left blank for text. Also includes a large volume of photocopied reviews held at the back of the draft. The contents of the manuscript appear to have been arranged chronologically, exploring the evolution of Cripps’ work from school to his later performances. The front cover is stamped with the Cripps Trust Catalogue stamp and the number 40. |
