DescriptionResponses to an appeal by the Stephen Cripps Trust for personal contributions from friends and fellow artists for a proposed publication on the life and work of Cripps. The contributions are wide ranging and include personal reminiscences, sketches drawn by Cripps for friends, and works by fellow artists created in memory of Cripps. Includes the following:

[/1] Handwritten letter from Susie Mackie, accompanied by a sketch of Mackie lying on a bed by Cripps.
[/2] Handwritten letter by Justin [Kenrick] accompanied by a typescript poem entitled ‘Song of the Earths Tree: Yggsdrill’
[/3] Handwritten letter by Stephen Cripps to Bena Stutchbury written in 1981. Includes a tipped-in typewritten review of a performance at Cabaret Futura.
[/4] Handwritten note accompanied by photocopies of two prints created ‘For Stephen Cripps’ by Bob Cobbing
[/5] Typescript text by Robin Cooke accompanied by a typescript letter from Ally [Raftery]
[/6] Typescript letter and reminiscences with ink annotations by Simon [Eagar]
[/7] Typewritten letter from Kenneth Hughes of the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham writing about Cripps’ student years at Corsham
[/8] Typescript letter and poem by Monica Buferd-Heindorff
[/9] Two-page pencil, ink and [gouache?] artwork by Angela Eames titled ‘from a lightweight to a heavy weight’. Each sheet is signed by the artists on the verso.
[/10] Typescript text and photocopied illustration by Richard Nye mounted on card. The illustration shows Richard Nye, Stephen Cripps and Andrew [Bailey] with Magic the dog walking together at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham. Accompanied by a second copy of the illustration on A3 paper.

[/12] Copy of a sexually explicit print with a typescript poem by Jacquie Dregde and Clive Burton mounted on card.

[/14] Handwritten letter and original untitled etching by Jackie Hunt.
[/15] Handwritten letter from [Riggs?]. The letter refers to a short story sent as a contribution, though the story appears to be missing.
