Description | A black and white contact sheet and four strips of corresponding negatives of various studio experiments at Butlers Wharf. Incudes images of Cripps dressed in protective clothing burning a [flysheet?] with an arc welder; a [revolving?], burning object suspended from the ceiling; an [asbestos?] suit used by Cripps; a [pendulum] device made from a motor arm; and various lamps made from salvaged objects. The contact sheet appears to be a later print of the negatives and is marked in silver ink, ‘1 out, a + b’. A white label on the contact sheer is marked in black ink in an unidentified hand ‘studio asbestos suit, lit pendulum & motor-arm, various lamps’. The negatives were originally held in a storage envelope marked in pencil in an unidentified hand ‘Heindorff [struck through] studio perfs. 1 out a + b’. |
