DescriptionTwo black and white contact sheets containing images of various studio experiments at Butlers Wharf. Includes images of Cripps throwing lit pieces of torn paper; Cripps dressed in protective clothing burning a [flysheet?] with an arc welder; a [revolving?], burning object suspended from the ceiling by several lengths of [rope?]; an [asbestos?] suit used by Cripps; a [pendulum] device made from a motor arm; and lengths of [cassette tape?] attached to a speaker. A small piece of yellow paper with printing instructions has been taped over one image. The image was used on the private view card for Halo Lines’ at The Acme Gallery, London, 12 July 1977. Accompanied by a single strip of 35mm black and white negatives with images of Cripps dressed in protective clothing burning a [flysheet?] with an arc welder [/3]. The images match those on the contact sheet. Also includes four pages of tables drawn up by Cripps, recording experiment title, negative number, number of ‘clicks down’ and ‘exposure time’ of certain images [/4-7]
