Description | Negatives originally held in glassine storage sleeves labelled by Cripps in red ink, ‘Mochta Boozy. Bath 73.’ Contains images of a rocket-like work held in a large tented structure. Includes photographs of a large rocket structure suspended from the scaffolding poles. A wooden stage with a desert island backdrop and an illuminated artificial sun are shown in several images. Individuals, including Cripps appear in the performance space. The labelling on the negatives suggests that the works may have been shown at the Bath Festival in 1973 under the title ‘Mochta Booty’. Accompanied by two corresponding contact sheets marked in silver ink, ‘Mochta Boozy. Bath 73. Diddy Bag.’ The contact sheets are sparsely annotated with brief notes and names of individuals featured in the images. The contact sheets appear to be later prints of Cripps’ original negatives produced by the Stephen Cripps Trust. They marked on the reverse with the Cripps Trust Catalogue stamp and the number 36. |
