Recording starts with a sequence of swelling and quieter sounds on the first half of this side, followed by various sounds that can be heard in parks and cities, including some music: flute playing, birds twittering, sounds of rippling water, gabbling ducks, guitar playing, drone, siren, accelerating motor, cash register, voices, clatter [of coins ?], noise of traffic, sounds of walking people, sound of a motorcycle, gong, sounds of cars, [duration 31 mins 28 secs]. Side 2: recording of different sounds mainly from radio [or TV ?] transmissions. The recordings assemble a range of musical genres ranging from rock and roll to a children choirs. Repeated noises can be heard, also the words 'a little pig with wings...', throughout the whole side of this cassette. In between there are also recordings of sounds that were created in the same room/studio, like the sound of small bells, a sound that resembles distantly a didgeridoo as well as a metallic hammering, [duration: 27 mins 31 secs]. |
