Description | Hardback red notebook including texts and notes on Santa Casa (towards 'Vault of the Scalzi') as a site of pilgrimage. Also includes a floor plan and fabrication notes. Includes various notes and texts towards essays (Keir Smith reference 'Brookings Spar' and 'The Story of the Barrel' are essay titles and 'Fresh Wharf' was a Keir Smith sculpture). Artists and their works are referenced by Keir Smith, for example 'Samuel Scott' [Samuel Scott, 1702 - 1772] and 'Fresh Wharf' (by William Marlow, [1740 - 1813] 1762). Keir Smith referenced 'The Gouden Leeeuw at the Battle of Texel 11 August 1673, Oil on Canvas 1687' ['The Battle of Texel, 11/21 August 1673' by Willem van de Velde, 1683]. Also some sketches. |
