| Notes | The majority of Tennant's professional correspondence was held within indexed sections of a box file. These sections have been retained in their original alphabetical order; each file representing a different pairing of letters in the alphabet. Tennant's original filing system within these sections has also been retained. However, his filing system was a little idiosyncratic at times and correspondence for a particular commission or person may appear in a seemingly unrelated section of the index. |
