Title	Correspondence related to the International Artists Association
Date	[1956?]-1969
Description	Small file of correspondence related to the International Artists' Association, of which Tennant was a committee member. Includes a handwritten letter from [Richard Carline] asking Tennant to attend a national committee meeting of the [International Artists' Association] in his place, outlining points concerning the constitution and its members he wishes Tennant to make on his behalf (/1); a letter from Sir Frederick A. Hoare related to the provision of hospitality for the International Conference on the Training of the Artists (/2); and correspondence, including Tennant's manuscript draft letters, related to the Barbican Arts Centre (/3-7).
Notes	This represents an artificial gathering of letters found loose in the collection
Notes	International Artists Committee was co-founded by Richard Carline in 1952. The organisation acted an advisory body in the visual arts and was affiliated to UNESCO. Carline had been a prominent member of the Artists' International Association and also co-founded the Hampstead Artists' Council.
