| Description | Original file of pencil and ink sketches held together by a folded piece of A4 paper marked by Dye, 'Idol extensions (Real into illusory)'. A number of the sketches are annotated with brief notes by Dye. The sketches, predominantly of male nudes positioned over figures painted on the floor and/or wall, appear to be a development of his original 1981 anamorphic work ‘Idol’. Includes a black and white image of a male torso with arms folded cut from a magazine, accompanied by pencil sketches of the image. Also includes some rough sketches for ‘Idol’ and two cut-outs of a sketched male outstretched on the floor. /12 has been stamped repeatedly with Dye's name, address and telephone number in back ink. |
