Much of the material represents sketched ideas for incorporating the triangular shaped gallery space into a site-specific installation at The Showroom. Includes a small number of sketches, notes and calculations for Dye's finalised concept for the space titled 'Steps'.

‘Steps’ was later remade for Dye's solo exhibition of installation and sculpture at The Showroom, London in 1990. It was then remade for a third time for the Cleveland Gallery, Middlesbrough in 1992 and then for the fourth time for the joint exhibition ‘Out of Darkness’ at Tullie House Museums and Art Gallery, Carlisle in September 1995
