Description | Four black and white photographs of Cripps’ solo exhibition at Artists for Democracy, Fitzrovia Cultural Centre, London, 29 March - 23 May 1976. Includes three photographs of Cripps sitting on ‘Garden Swing’ (1976) and one image of Cripps [erecting?] ‘Scaffolding Tower’ (1976) in front of the gallery building. Accompanied by a contact sheet of additional works shown at the exhibition and Paul Burwell interviewing Cripps on ‘Garden Swing’ [/5]. The works shown on the contact sheet include ‘Scaffolding Tower’, ‘Revolving Tape Machine’ (1976), [‘Spinning Wheel Machine’?] (1976) and ‘Cymbal Machine’ (1976). Three images are marked on the reverse in an unidentified hand ‘photo by Jane England’. |
