DescriptionNegatives of various works originally held in a ‘Boots’ photo processing envelope labelled by Cripps in red ink, ‘Smoke pellets + Peppers + plaster ironing board’. Images include peppers set in plaster on an ironing board; lit smoke pellets placed inside plastic piping; and lit smoke pellets placed beneath a sheet of glass balanced on top of four brick. Accompanied by a corresponding contact sheet marked in silver ink, ‘Smoke pellets, Peppers + plaster ironing board. Diddy Bag’. The contact sheet appears to be a later print of Cripps’ original negatives produced by the Stephen Cripps Trust. It is marked on the reverse with the Cripps Trust Catalogue stamp and the number 37.
