TitleNegatives labelled ‘Programmer and sp[ea]k[e]rs and tapes etc’
Datec.1970-1974
DescriptionNegatives of various works originally held in a ‘Boots’ photo processing envelope labelled by Cripps in red ink, ‘Programmer and sp[ea]k[e]rs and tapes etc. Paintings. Horn High Chair’. Includes images of a network of [car horn?] speakers spread out on the lawn at Corsham with electrical equipment in the centre; large-scale paintings [by Cripps?] in a studio setting; an oversized wooden high chair with car horn speakers attached to the chair; and pieces of cloth on the ground covered in paint, possibly ‘spin drier paintings’. Accompanied by two corresponding contact sheets marked in silver and gold ink, ‘Programmer and sp[ea]k[e]rs etc. Paintings Horn High Chair. Diddy Bag’. Two white labels in an unidentified hand provide brief information about the works. The contact sheets appear to be later prints of Cripps’ original negatives produced by the Stephen Cripps Trust.
