Title | Negatives of Jean Tinguely’s work and ‘Frills and Spills’ |
Date | c.1974 |
Description | Negatives originally held in two glassine storage sleeves labelled by Cripps in red ink, ‘Tinguely + few Frills and Spills’. Includes images of Jean Tinguely’s work [photographed from books] and various scenes from ‘Frills and Spills’. The Tinguely images represent research undertaken by Cripps, possibly in preparation for his thesis on the artist. |
Notes | ‘Frills and Spills’ was a large-scale scripted performance written and directed by Cripps as part of his degree show at Corsham. It was performed by the Corsham sculpture students and incorporated machines, sound and film on a myriad of stages located throughout the college. |
