DescriptionHardback black sketchbook containing sketches, notes, and designs towards railway sleeper carving, wood and stone carving, drawings, assemblages, maquettes, site-specific and gallery installations, commissions, freestanding and serial installations, presentation methodologies and sequences, self-portraiture, rust drawings and fixings. Also Keir Smith references 'organisation of the Iron Road' and stencils. Imagery including natural and industrial landscapes, clouds, bent rails, mountains, fire, industrial architecture, butterflies, self-portraiture, figurative, feathers, nails, pickaxes, burning books, damaged trees wheels and factories; flags (damaged pennant), ship sails, aircraft, broken arrowheads, volcano or burner [?], pinecones, rivers and estuaries, and rockets.
