DescriptionHardback black sketchbook containing sketches, notes, and designs towards railway sleeper carving, stone carving, drawings, assemblages, maquettes, studio and gallery installations, commissions, freestanding and serial installations, presentation methodologies and sequences, self-portraiture, bust sculpture, weathering processes, poster design for 'Navigator', and rust drawings (Keir Smith reference to 'new sequence of rust drawings'). Imagery including natural and industrial landscapes, clouds, bent rails, mountains, islands, fire, books, shells, marine wildlife (skate), industrial architecture, butterflies, snakes, worms, maritime artefacts and vessels (tramp steamer), pickaxes, ships timbers, shattered spears, aircraft, fractured branch, burning wheel and book, and flag (pennant).
