The file includes a letter from Alex Reid of Alex Reid & Lefevre Ltd regarding bomb damage to the gallery, in which Reid states that although the gallery on King Street was severely damaged, works by both Annan and Tennant were 'unscathed' save for some dirt (/1); a letter from the Leicester County Council's Advisory Officer for Art regarding a travelling exhibition showing works by both Annan and Tennant (/2); 'Notes for Competitors' for a sculptural design competition for Littlewoods (/3); letters related to Tennant's sculpture 'Girls Playing Netball' commissioned by the London County Council for Barnsbury Girls School as part of their 'Patronage of the Arts' scheme (/4-10; /15); a letter from the editor of 'Claycraft' regarding Tennant's brick carving for the British Embassy in Washington (/11); a letter from the Head of the Design Department of J. Lyons (/12); and contact details for a private client, Jean Ulyxes Korée, marked by an identified hand 'wants a portrait done..,perhaps by Trevor Tennant' (/13-14). A number of the letters feature annotations, notes and doodles by Tennant.
