Description | Small file of papers related to Tennant's solo exhibition at the Molton Galleries, London in May 1965. The file includes two exhibition catalogues (/1-2); a copy of the exhibition catalogue missing its front cover and annotated 'Trevor Tennant' (/3); a press cutting from the 'Hampstead and Highgate Express' about the show (/4); a proof copy of the exhibition’s advert in 'What's On' (/5); and photostat copies of the front and back cover of the exhibition catalogue (/6-7). |
Notes | The exhibition marked Tennant's first one-man exhibition since 1938 and was opened by Sir Donald Gibson, president of the Royal Institute for British Architects and former Chief Architect for Coventry. Gibson had commissioned Tennant to undertake a series of architectural sculptures as part of the post-war redevelopment of Coventry. |
