Description | Three black and white photographs of Annan's tiled mural 'Expanding Universe', commissioned by the Ministry of Works for the Bank of England. The mural features stars and moons in various sizes. An integral typescript label on one of the photographs identifies the building as the 'PAID NOTE BUILDING' (/1). Two photographs are annotated on the reverse by [Tennant?] with the title, location and size of the piece. One photograph is mounted on white card (/2). |
Notes | 'Expanding Universe' was Annan's largest single mural and was destroyed in 1997. It featured in the corridor of the Paid Note Building and was 40 foot by 30 foot. |
