Archive of Sculptors' Papers

This unique research facility in Leeds contains a wealth of material relating to British sculptural practice, from the eighteenth century to the present day. It includes sketches, notebooks, photos, letters & correspondence, press cuttings and more. The catalogue mainly provides descriptions of the collections as a whole, including such information as:

  • biographical information about an artist
  • provenance of the collection
  • reference numbers
  • descriptions and dates of the archival materials
  • where related archives and works can be located

You can browse a list of collections or do a free text search which will locate a word or phrase appearing in any field, in any part of the catalogue.

The Henry Moore Institute Archive is owned by Leeds Museums & Galleries (LM&G) and managed through a partnership agreement with the Henry Moore Foundation (HMF). All text and images are copyright of LM&G and HMF unless otherwise stated.
